Background: PACSIN3

PACSIN3 (protein kinase C and casein kinase substrate in neurons protein 3) is a member of the PACSIN family, a group of adaptor protein that regulate vesicle trafficking via cytoskeletal alterations. PACSIN3 is primarily expressed in skeletal muscle and heart and has been shown to be specifically involved in the trafficking of GLUT 1 in adipocytes. PACSIN3 is also known as SH3 domain-containing 6511, syndapin III, and SDPIII.
