WB: Approx. 23-24 kDa band observed in A431 lysates (calculated MW of 19.7 kDa band according to NP_036520.1). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing PLDN a band of approx. 28 kDa is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293.

Background: Pallidin

Pallidin, encoded by gene HGNC, may play a role in intracellular vesicle trafficking. It interacts with Syntaxin 13 which mediates intracellular membrane fusion. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.
