Product Summary for Human Prostate Tissue MicroArray (Cancer)
Microarray Panel:
Prostate cancer-normal
No. of samples: 49
No. of patients: 40
Core diameter: 2.0 mm
Section thickness: 4 micrometer
Please see manual for tissue information and location.
All tissues are fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin for 12 to 24 hours, dehydrated with gradient ethanol, cleared with xylene, and embedded in paraffin. Then each slide is tested for immunohistochemistry on multiple antibodies including the p53 protein. Quality control is ensured as every tissue block is collected and arranged by certified pathologists, who used an identical process for their own research.
About 100,000 cells are included in each sample with 2 mm core diameter. Some slides may have less than 60 cores due to sample loss when obtaining multiple sections. Maximum number of missing cores in a slide is less than 10%.

Q: I was hoping you could provide me more information regarding the tissue microarray for human prostate cancer you have available. In particular I was wondering if any information was available regarding the patients are hormone refractory or not?
A: Unfortunately, we do hot have the information on whether the patients are hormone refractory or not. We have limited clinical information about prostate cancer patients, such as PSA level, residual tumor, follow-up results, and survival data. This information is only provided with the array itself and can only be accessed once purchased. -
Q: We are interested in ordering a tissue microarray slide and wonder if there is survival data with the item (NBP2-30169). We purchased one from Imgenex (IMH-303) that now belongs to Novus Biologicals and that one has survival data. Are these two the same?
A: Our tissue micro array NBP2-30169 is the same micro array that Imgenex sold as IMH-303. Survival data for the tissues on the array will be provided with the datasheet included with the slide.
