Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: SAP155 Antibody (6C7) [NBP3-26326] - Staining of Hela Cells with SAP155 Antibody (6C7) at 1:50, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeated by 0.2% Triton X-100, and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4C. Nuclear DNA was labeled in blue with DAPI. The secondary antibody was FITC-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).

Background: SAP155

SF3B155 is a subunit of the U2 small nuclear ribonucleoproteins complex (U2 snRNP) that functions in pre-mRNA splicing. SF3B155 together with splicing factor 3a binds pre-mRNA upstream of the branchpoint sequence to anchor U2 snRNP to the pre-mRNA. SF3B155 is also a component of the U12-type splicesome that is involved in the splicing of a rare class of nuclear pre-mRNA introns.
