Western Blot:[NBP3-30064]-

Western Blot:[NBP3-30064]-Detection of human SH3BP2 by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-SH3BP2 antibody used for WB at 0. 1 µg/ml and 1 µg/ml and used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. SH3BP2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-SH3BP2 antibody, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes and 10 seconds.

Background: SH3BP2

The protein encoded by the SH3BP2 gene has an N-terminal pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, an SH3-binding proline-rich region, and a C-terminal SH2 domain. The protein binds to the SH3 domains of several proteins including the ABL1 and SYK protein tyrosine kinases, and functions as a cytoplasmic adaptor protein to positively regulate transcriptional activity in T, natural killer (NK), and basophilic cells. Mutations in this gene result in cherubism. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. (provided by RefSeq)
