Western Blot: SOS1 Antibody [NBP1-05955]

Western Blot: SOS1 Antibody [NBP1-05955] - Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IPloaded) and HEK293T (T; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinitypurified rabbit anti-SOS1 antibody used for WB at 0.04 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 3 ug/mg lysate. SOS1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbitanti-SOS1 antibody, which recognizes an upstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 30 seconds (B).

Background: SOS1

This gene encodes a protein that is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for RAS proteins, membrane proteins that bind guanine nucleotides and participate in signal transduction pathways. GTP binding activates and GTP hydrolysis inactivates RAS proteins. The product of this gene may regulate RAS proteins by facilitating the exchange of GTP for GDP. Mutations in this gene are associated with gingival fibromatosis 1 and Noonan syndrome type 4. [provided by RefSeq]
