Background: Troponin I/TNNI3

Troponin I is part of a heteromeric complex playing an important role in the regulation of skeletal and cardiac muscle contraction. It consists of three subunits, troponin I (TnI), troponin T (TnT) and troponin C (TnC). Each subunit is responsible for part of troponin complex function. TnI inhibits ATPase activity of acto myosin and TnT and TnI are present in cardiac muscles in different forms than in skeletal muscles. Only one tissue specific isoform of TnI is described for cardiac muscle tissue (cTnI) and this is expressed only in myocardium. This antibody reacts with subunit I of the troponin complex in human myocardium, where it is the only troponin I isotype present. It does not cross-react with troponin I of skeletal muscle cells.

FAQs for Troponin I Type 3 (cardiac) Antibody (22B11) - BSA Free

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q: Would you be able to share the protocol used to validate NB120-8290 – TnI mAb (22B11) in WB?

    A:

The western blot image on our site was submitted to us a while ago via a customer review. From the notes I have, they ran their western blot very similar to our general protocol. However, they used 5% nonfat milk with 1% BSA in TBST for blocking and diluents.
