Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: GTF3C6 Antibody [NBP3-23528] - Immunofluorescence staining of GTF3C6 in HepG2 cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with NBP3-23528 (dilution ratio 1:100) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody [Alexa Fluor 488] (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Positive staining was localized to Nucleus.

Background: GTF3C6

RNA polymerases are unable to initiate RNA synthesis in the absence of additional proteins called general transcriptionfactors (GTFs). GTFs assemble in a complex on the DNA promoter and recruit the RNA polymerase. GTF3C family proteins(e.g., GTF3C1, MIM 603246) are essential for RNA polymerase III to make a number of small nuclear and cytoplasmicRNAs, including 5S RNA (MIM 180420), tRNA, and adenovirus-associated (VA) RNA of both cellular and viralorigin.(supplied by OMIM)
