Human 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1D, or 5-HT1D, is a G-protein coupled receptor for serotonin. 5-HT1D also functions as a receptor for ergot alkaloid derivatives, various anxiolytic and antidepressant drugs and other psychoactive substances. Ligand binding causes a conformation changes in a typical G-protein/adenylate cyclase fashion.
