Mouse Trypsin 3, encoded by the PRSS3 gene, is also known as mesotrypsin. It consists of a signal peptide (residues 1-15), a pro region (residues 16-23), and a mature chain (residues 24-246) (1). The purified recombinant mouse Trypsin 3 corresponds to the pro form, which can be activated by enterokinase.

Trypsin 3/PRSS3 in Mouse Pancreas.
Trypsin 3/PRSS3 was detected in perfusion fixed frozen sections of mouse pancreas using 5 µg/mL Goat Anti-Mouse Trypsin 3/PRSS3 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3565) overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained with the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Trypsin 3/PRSS3 was detected in perfusion fixed frozen sections of mouse pancreas using Mouse Trypsin 3/PRSS3 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3565) at 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Lower panel shows a lack of labeling if primary antibodies are omitted and tissue is stained only with secondary antibody followed by incubation with detection reagents.
