mGluR8 Products
The Group III metabotropic glutamate receptors include mGluR4, 6, 7 and 8. These 7-transmembrane glycoproteins are negatively coupled to adenylate cyclase and expressed presynaptically throughout the brain. MGluR8 shows pronounced expression in the dentate gyrus and CA3 regions of the hippocampus, and is thought to play a role in memory formation.
