R&D Systems Scholarship Application Fall 2019

R&D Systems is proud to support education in science with a scholarship program established to students who are pursuing a degree in a science related field.

The R&D Systems Scholarship Program will be awarded to students pursuing a degree in a science related field. A $1500 (or international currency equivalent) scholarship will be awarded twice a year for one student in the fall semester and one student in the spring semester. *US, UK, Canada

Write a personal statement of 500 words or less on the impact you strive to make using a degree in your field of interest.

Submit a 200 character (including spaces) statement on what extra curricular activities you partake in that are related to your field of study.

How to Apply

  • Upload the acceptance letter from the University/program you are currently accepted/enrolled in
  • Write a personal statement of 500 words or less on the impact you strive to make using a degree in your field of interest
  • Submit a 200 character (including spaces) statement on what extra curricular activities you partake in that are related to your field of study.
Eligibility
  • Applicants must have a major declared in a science related field.
  • Open in the US, UK, and Canada only.
  • Enrolled or accepted for enrollment (baccalaureate, graduate, associate degree, or diploma).
Selection and notification process
  • Deadline for this application is July 31, 2019 12 p.m. MST.
  • Finalist will be notified the following week.

  • Please submit your application online by July 31, 2019 12 p.m. MST to be considered for the Fall 2019 R&D Systems Scholarship.

  • Are the written statements required?
    • Yes, both topics listed are required.
  • What majors qualify?
    • All science related majors are eligible (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Medical Engineering etc.). 
  • What is the fee?
    • There is no fee.
  • When will you send me the check?
    • If selected, we will send the check directly to the university listed in the application to disperse.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Scholarships will be awarded to support the recipient’s listed university in the application for the awarded semester.
  2. All applications must be submitted to R&D Systems via the form or to scholarship@bio-techne.com by the deadline.
  3. Any student currently enrolled/accepted at an institution is eligible to apply (PhD, baccalaureate, graduate, associate degree, or diploma).
  4. Applicants must complete the application form in full.
  5. Scholarship recipients will be determined via a selection committee.
  6. The recipient will be contacted by email one week after the deadline and also announced online.
  7. Scholarships will be paid to the recipient’s listed university. A student ID number will be required.
  8. By submitting this application, you agree to receive information from Bio-Techne brands (R&D Systems, Tocris Bioscience, Novus Biologicals and ProteinSimple), including distributors.
