Recommended Usage

Immunohistochemistry

2 - 3 ug/ml

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin

2 - 3 ug/ml

Peptide ELISA

Detection limit 1:128000
Application Notes
WB: WB experiments gave bands at approx. 75 kDa band and 22 kDa band in human placenta and ovary lysates after 0.1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 49.2 kDa band according to NP_003213.1. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional bands). IHC-P: Human skin shows nuclear staining of keratinocytes.

Background: AP-2 gamma

The protein encoded by this gene is a sequence-specific DNA-binding transcription factor involved in the activation of several developmental genes. The encoded protein can act as either a homodimer or heterodimer with other family members and is induced during retinoic acid-mediated differentiation. It plays a role in the development of the eyes, face, body wall, limbs, and neural tube.
