Immunoprecipitation: Astrin Antibody [NB100-74638]

Immunoprecipitation: Astrin Antibody [NB100-74638] - Detection of Human Astrin/MAP126 by Western Blot of Immunoprecipitants. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-Astrin/MAP126 antibody NB100-74638 used for IP at 3 mcg/mg lysate. Astrin/MAP126 was also immunoprecipitated by another rabbit anti-Astrin/MAP126 antibody and NB100-74639, which recognize downstream epitopes. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Immunohistochemistry: Astrin Antibody [NB100-74638] -

Immunohistochemistry: Astrin Antibody [NB100-74638] - SKA3 localisation is not abrogated due to the lack of Astrin.(A) Representative deconvolved images show SKA3 enrichment at kinetochores of HeLa cells treated with Control or Astrin siRNA. Cells were arrested in metaphase using MG132 for 1 hr prior to fixation & were immunostained with antibodies against Astrin & SKA3 & CREST antiserum (to mark centromeres) & stained with DAPI for DNA. Cropped images show Astrin or SKA3 enrichment at kinetochores. (B) Representative images show SKA3 enrichment at kinetochores of HeLa cells treated with Astrin siRNA before transfection with eukaryotic protein expression vectors encoding YFP-Astrin (WT, 4A or ∆70, as indicated). Cells were arrested in metaphase using MG132 for 1 hr prior to fixation & were immunostained with antibodies against GFP (for detecting YFP-Astrin) & SKA3 & CREST antiserum & co-stained with DAPI for DNA. Cropped images show YFP-Astrin or SKA3 enrichment at kinetochores. Scale as indicated. FAQs for Astrin Antibody - BSA Free

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q: We recently bought Astrin antibody from your company (catalog # NB100-74638, date of purchase 24/01/2012). We did not realize this antibody is not for Western blotting until we received it, and we failed to optimize the antibody detection. Because the other Astrin antibodies are still available from Novus Biologicals, we are thinking to purchase another Astrin antibody. However, in order to ensure the successful use of antibody for our research, we would like to ask which Astrin antibody is guaranteed for Western blotting and possibly for immunofluorescence using human cells ? Also, in the case if the antibody does not work, would you consider the refunding or sending us the alternative antibody?

A: We have 6 antibodies that match your requirements, and they can be viewed on our website by searching for Astrin and narrowing your results using the filters on the left-hand side of the screen. We offer a 100% guarantee for the species and applications listed on the products' datasheets and are happy to provide refunds or replacements in the event that they do not perform as promised!
