Description
This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum.

Western Blot: ATG12 Antibody [NB600-603]
Western Blot: ATG12 Antibody [NB600-603] - Immunoblot of APG12 fusion protein. Anti-APG12 antibody generated by immunization with recombinant yeast APG12 was tested by immunoblot against yeast lysates expressing the APG12-GFP fusion protein and other UBL fusion proteins. All UBLs possess limited homology to Ubiquitin and to each other, therefore it is important to know the degree of reactivity of each antibody against each UBL.

Application Notes
This purified polyclonal antibody reacts yeast APG12 by western blot and ELISA. Although not tested, this antibody is likely functional in immunohistochemistry and immunoprecipitation. This antibody using the specified conditions may recognize other prominent intrinsic bands (UBLs or their conjugates). Other intrinsic bands are readily detectable in yeast lysates at lower antibody dilutions.

Application: Western BlotSample Tested: Total protein lysate (TCA precipitated) and Total yeast protein (TCA precipitated)Species: S. CerevisiaeVerified Customer | Posted 06/01/2022Native Atg12 could not be detected in yeast cell lysates. Expect ~63 kDa in WT lanes and ~25 kDa in the atg10D lane, but only nonspecific bands, also present in the atg12D lanes, could be seen.Incubated overnight 4C; secondary anti-rabbit (1:5000) incubated 1 hour RT, all in 4% milk/TBST blocking solution.Bio-Techne ResponseThis review was submitted through the legacy Novus Innovators Program, reflecting a new species or application tested on a primary antibody.
