Immunohistochemistry: Bassoon Antibody [NBP1-46351] -
AICP treatment immediately after fear extinction increases synaptic alpha -amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole propionic acid (AMPA) receptors. (A) Confocal images from basolateral amygdala (BLA) of vehicle-extinction (top) and AICP extinction (100 ng/side, i-BLA, bottom) WT mice immunostained for AMPA receptor GluA1 subunit and PSD 95. Arrowheads showing colocalized puncta. (B) Quantification of immunostaining; AICP treatment led to a significant increase in total GluA1 puncta (P =.0196). Trend for an increase in PSD 95 immunoreactive puncta in AICP-extinction group (P =.0926). Significant increase in total GluA1-PSD 95 colocalized puncta in AICP-extinction group (P =.0002). (C) Confocal images from BLA of vehicle-extinction (top) and AICP-extinction (bottom) WT mice immunostained for bassoon, GluA1 and PSD 95. Arrowheads show colocalized puncta. (D) Quantification of immunostaining. No significant change in bassoon-PSD 95 colocalized puncta by AICP (P =.1387). Significant increase in bassoon/GluA1/PSD 95 colocalized puncta (P =.0282) by AICP treatment. Bar graphs represent mean +/- SEM, each data point representing 22–24 images from n = 3 vehicle and n = 5 AICP mice. Data were analyzed by unpaired t test. Image collected and cropped by CiteAb from the following open publication (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34363482), licensed under a CC-BY license. FAQs for Bassoon Antibody
-
Q: I am looking for a good antibody to detect Bassoon in mouse brain slices (PFA fixed); can you recommend any one for this?
A:
After searching through our product catalog list, we have found the following antibodies which may be of interest: Bassoo. Using the filters on the left column of the site should allow you to filter by species and desired application. Any antibody that is listed to show validation for use in IHC-P and has also been validated in mouse samples will be backed by our 100% Guarantee. Under the terms and conditions of the guarantee, Novus will provide you with a full refund or replacement should the antibody fail to perform, as specified, in samples expressing the protein.
-
Q: We are interested in Anti Bassoon Ab (NBP1-46351), but we need the exact epitope sequence.
A: Unfortunately we cannot provide the specific immunogen sequence as it is proprietary; however I can tell you that the immunogen is found between amino acids 1000 and 1100 in the parental protein.
