Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: c-Myc-responsive protein Rcl Antibody (7C1Z8) [NBP3-16115] - Confocal imaging of MCF7 cells using c-Myc-responsive protein Rcl Rabbit mAb followed by a further incubation with Cy3 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L). The cells were counterstained with alpha-Tubulin Mouse mAb followed by incubation with ABflo 488-conjugated Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) Ab (Green). DAPI was used for nuclear staining (Blue). Objective: 100x.

Background: c-Myc-responsive protein Rcl

C6orf108 was identified on the basis of its stimulation by c-Myc protein. The latter is a transcription factor that participates in the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The exact function of this gene is not known but studies in rat suggest a role in cellular proliferation and c-Myc-mediated transformation. Two alternative transcripts encoding different proteins have been described. [provided by RefSeq]. Transcript Variant: This variant (1) encodes the longer isoform (1).
