Background: COP9

COP9 signalosome is a conserved protein composed of eight subunits. Individual subunits of the complex have been linked to various signal transduction pathways leading to gene expression and cell cycle control. CSN3 encodes the third subunit of COP9 signalosome. CSN3 is important for maintaining the integrity of the COP9 signalosome and crucial for the survival of epiblast cells.
