Q: We would like to use the CYBB (NOX2) antibody for Western blotting on rat heart samples. Please, suggest us an alternative solution, if you have any!
A: I have taken a look for an alternative antibody, and we do have NBP1-51928 available. It has been validated for use in Western Blot however we have not yet tested this with Rat. I have carried out a BLAST on a protein database called UniProt and I have found that the percentage homology between the human CYBB and rat CYBB is 92.0%. If you would like to test this species you may find our Innovators Reward Program of interest, where we reward customers for trying our antibodies in novel species and applications.
