Immunoprecipitation:EZH2/KMT6 AntibodyNBP3-30183] -Detection of human EZH2 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-EZH2 antibody (NBP3-30183 lot 2) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. EZH2 was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (NBP3-30183 lot 1) and a second.inst a different epitope of EZH2 (A302-196A). For blotting immunoprecipitated EZH2, NBP3-30183 was used at 0.1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: EZH2

KMT6 / EZH2 encodes a member of the Polycomb-group (PcG) family. PcG family members form multimeric protein complexes, which are involved in maintaining the transcriptional repressive state of genes over successive cell generations. This protein associates with the embryonic ectoderm development protein, the VAV1 oncoprotein, and the X-linked nuclear protein. This protein may play a role in the hematopoietic and central nervous systems. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
