Specificity

Detects human FGF R5/FGFRL1 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 65% cross‑reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) FGF R5 and rmFGF R5 beta is observed and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) FGF R1 alpha  (IIIb), rhFGF R1 alpha  (IIIc), rhFGF R1 beta  (IIIb), rhFGF R1 beta  (IIIc), rhFGF R2 alpha  (IIIb), rhFGF R2 alpha  (IIIc), rhFGF R2 beta  (IIIb), rhFGF R2 beta  (IIIc), rhFGF R3 alpha  (IIIb), rhFGF R3 (IIIc), and rhFGF R4 is observed.

FGF R5 is a widely expressed type I transmembrane protein belonging to the FGF receptor family. It shares approximately 32% amino acid sequence identity to the extracellular domains of FGF R1-4, but does not contain a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain.
