Mitogen- and stress-activated protein kinase 2 (MSK2), also known as ribosomal protein S6 kinase B (RSKB) and RPS6KA4, belongs to the family of AGC kinases. Both MSK2 and the related MSK1 have two kinase domains connected by a regulatory linker region and are activated by the mitogen-activated protein kinases ERK1, ERK2, and p38. Nuclear MSK phosphorylates and activates a number of transcription factors, including ATF1 and CREB.

Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse MSK2 Antibody
Detection of Human/Mouse MSK2 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, DU145 human prostate carcinoma cell line, and TS1 mouse helper T cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL Rat Anti-Human/Mouse MSK2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB2310) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). For additional reference, recombinant human MSK1 and MSK2 (2 ng/lane) were included. A specific band for MSK2 was detected at approximately 90 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 3.Applications for Human/Mouse MSK2 Antibody
