Background: MRPL41

MRPL41, also known as 39 S ribosomal protein L41, mitochondrial, is a 15.4 kDa, 137 amino acid protein that is involved in the cell cycle and apoptosis as a component of the large subunit of ribosomes in the mitochondria. Current research is investigating the effect of the protein on diseases such as breast cancer and duodenogastric reflux. The protein interacts with SMURF2, C20orf24, ICT1, SLX4, and TRIM63 proteins in cell cycle pathways.
