Immunoprecipitation: N myc interactor Antibody [NB100-763] - Detection of human NMI/N myc interactor by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-NMI antibody NB100-763 (lot 2) used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. NMI was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-NMI antibody NB100-763-1. For blotting immunoprecipitated NMI, NB100-763 was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: N myc interactor

Myc family proteins play an important role in cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and transformation. Nmi is an interaction partner and binds to MycN. Nmi alone is not a transcriptional activator in mammalian cells.
