Sample: DIV9 rat E18 primary cortical neurons were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: SNAP29 protein stained by SNAP29 antibody (NBP3-12979) diluted at 1:500. Red: beta Tubulin 3/ Tuj1, a neuron cell marker, stained by beta Tubulin 3/ Tuj1 antibody [GT11710] (NBP2-43559) diluted at 1:500. Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI.

SNAP29 (Synaptosomal-associated protein, 29kDa) is involved in multiple membrane trafficking steps and binds tightly to multiple syntaxins. It may act as a negative modulator for neurotransmitter release by slowing recycling of the SNARE-based fusion machinery and synaptic vesicle turnover.
