FAQs for CYP1B1 Antibody (5E2) - BSA Free
-
Q: Can you share more details on your Western Blot validation of CYP1B1 Antibody (5E2) [NBP2-50190] ?
A: Our WB validation was performed on human recombinant CYP1B1 (rhCYP1B1). The peptide immunogen used to raise the antibody [5E2) is conserved in mouse and rat, hence the antibody most likely will work well in those species.
-
Q: Do you suggest any tissue or cell line as a positive control for Western Blot of CYP1B1 Antibody (5E2) [NBP2-50190] ?
A: To the best of our knowledge, there are no cell lines (mouse or human) stably expressing CYP1B1. In fact CYP1B1 expressing cell lines are in demand to screen for CYP1B1 inhibitors/prodrugs. Some cell lines were reported to transcriptionally express CYP1B1 are SKOV3, A549 and SiHa. But the question remains whether the CYP1B1 protein present in these cells. If you are planning to perform WB testing, the material which we recommend would be recombinant CYP1B1 or CYP1B1 microsomes.
