Background: MMP-25/MT6-MMP

Matrix Metalloproteinase 25 (MMP-25), also known as MT6-MMP or Leukolysin, is a GPI-linked protease expressed by neutrophils. The extracellular domain of MMP-25 consists of a pro region, a catalytic domain and a hemopexin domain. MMP-25 cleaves collagen type 4, gelatin, fibronectin and fibrin.
