Background: STEAP1

Six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate (STEAP) is expressed predominantly in human prostate tissue and in other common malignancies including prostate, bladder, colon, and ovarian carcinomas, and in Ewing's sarcoma, suggesting that it could function as an almost universal tumor antigen. Immunohistochemical analysis indicated STEAP-1 localization at cell-cell junctions of the secretory epithelium of prostate and prostate cancer cells. The favorable expression profiling of STEAP-1 in normal and cancer tissues suggested its potential use as a target for immunotherapy. Clone J2D2, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human STEAP1 protein.

    • A: Unfortunately, NBP1-07094 is currently available in 6 to 8 business days, as is stated on our website. I apologize for the inconvenience. To view the price and availability of our products, please use our website to select your country, which will allow you to view the country specific pricing, availability and technical support information on the product's datasheet.
    • Q: May any of your anti human-STEAP1 Abs be used for flow cytometry, with a secondary anti-mouse antibody? E.g. J2D2 or 4F6-1F3?

A: Unfortunately, none of our STEAP1 antibodies have been validated in flow cytometry yet. This does not mean they will not work in FLOW, we just cannot guarantee its use in FLOW application because we have not tested them in this application in our lab yet. However, if you would like to try one of these antibodies in FLOW, you would be eligible for our Innovator's Reward, whereby if you share your results with us, we will reward you with a voucher for 100% of the purchase price - see here for more details: Innovator's Reward program. Technically, STEAP1 (J2D2) NBP1-07094 and STEAP1 (4F6-1F3) H00026872-M01 are the two antibodies that have more chances of success because of proven compatibility with IF labeled secondary antibodies as they have already been validated in ICC-IF.
