Background: STMN3

The protein encoded by the STMN3 gene belongs to the stathmin/oncoprotein 18 family of microtubule-destabilizing phosphoproteins. It is similar to the SCG10 protein and is involved in signal transduction and regulation of microtubule dynamics. (provided by RefSeq)

FAQs for STMN3 Antibody - BSA Free

Showing  1 - 4 的 4 FAQs Showing All
  • Q: Are there any reference publication used to obtain the immunogen sequence/any publication that generated the antibody with the same immunogen sequence?

    A:

The sequence comes from the consensus sequence on UniProt Q9NZ72 (https://www.uniprot.org/uniprotkb/Q9NZ72/entry)

  • Q: Does the antibody detect STMN1, STMN2 or STMN4 as well?

A: This sequence shares 77% homology with STMN2 and 67% with STMN1 and 4 so is not predicted to cross-react.

  • Q: Does the antibody pick up all STMN3 protein?

    A:

The predicted molecular weight of STMN3 is approximately 21 kDa. This protein also has multiple post-translational modifications (http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9NZ72). The lowest of the strong bands is STMN3 and we suspect the strong band just above it near the 28 kDa marker is the modified version but we haven't confirmed this.

  • Q: Was the antibody tested on breast cancer cell lines before?

A: The only Western blot testing data is shown on our datasheet.
