Western Blot: alpha-Internexin Antibody [NBP1-05208]
Western Blot: alpha-Internexin Antibody [NBP1-05208] - Western blot analysis of different tissue lysates using chicken pAb to alpha-Internexin, CPCA-a-Int, dilution 1:10,000 in green: (1) protein standard (red), (2) rat brain, (3) rat spinal cord, (4) mouse brain, (5) mouse spinal cord, (6) cow spinal cord and (7) pig spinal cord. CPCA-a-Int antibody reveals the alpha-internexin protein with apparent molecular weight of 64 to 66kDa, with some variability among different species.Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: alpha-Internexin Antibody [NBP1-05208]
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: alpha-Internexin Antibody [NBP1-05208] - Mixed neuron glia cultures stain with NBP1-05208 (red) and counterstained with RPCA-Cor1a, EnCor's rabbit polyclonal antibody to Coronin 1a, (green) which is an excellent marker of microglia and lymphocytes. The chicken internexin antibody is an excellent marker of neuronal processes in these cultures.Immunohistochemistry Free-Floating: alpha-Internexin Antibody [NBP1-05208]
Immunohistochemistry Free-Floating: alpha-Internexin Antibody [NBP1-05208] - Analysis of a rat cerebellum section stained with chicken alpha-Internexin pAb, dilution 1:5,000 (red), and costained with mouse MBP mAb, 1:5,000 (Green). Following transcardial perfusion of the rat with 4% paraformaldehyde, brain was post fixed for 24hrs, cut to 45uM, and free-floating sections were stained with the above antibodies. The alpha-Internexin antibody selectively stains axons and dendrites of neuronal cells, in particular Purkinje cells, parallel fibers and the axons of granule cells, while the MBP antibody stains myelin sheathes around axons.Western Blot: alpha-Internexin Antibody [NBP1-05208]
Western Blot: alpha-Internexin Antibody [NBP1-05208] - Western blot of extract of rat brain stem crude extract stained with NBP1-05208, showing a single strong clean band at approx. 66kDa.Applications for alpha-Internexin Antibody

Application Notes
This alpha Internexin antibody is useful for Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence and Western blot, and Immunohistochemistry. In Western blot a band is observed at either 66 or 68 kDa in brain or spinal cord homogenate. The human protein runs at ~68kDa, while rat, mouse and other species run at ~66kDa. Minor bands at ~150kDa are probably covalent dimers, and bands at ~50kDa represent a-internexin breakdown products.
