Western Blot: BPOZ Antibody [NB100-836]

Western Blot: BPOZ Antibody [NB100-836]

Western Blot: BPOZ Antibody [NB100-836] - Staining of Human Heart lysate with antibody at 1 ug/mL (RIPA buffer, 35 ug total protein). Primary incubated for 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence. Approx 38 kDa band observed in Human Heart lysates, and approx. 50 kDa in preliminary testing of MCF7 cell lysate (calculated MW of 37.6 kDa according to NP_115937.1 and 54 kDa according to ; NP_742024.1). An additional band was also consistently observed at 65-70 kDa. and was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background: BPOZ

This protein has an ankyrin repeat region and two BTB/POZ domains, which are thought to be involved in protein-protein interactions. Expression of the gene is activated by the phosphatase and tensin homolog, a tumor suppressor. Alternate splicing results in three transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Alternate Names

ankyrin repeat and BTB (POZ) domain containing 1, ankyrin repeat and BTB/POZ domain-containing protein 1, BPOZMGC20585, Btb3, EF1ABP, elongation factor 1A binding protein, Elongation factor 1A-binding protein
