No test method can provide total assurance that the hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, human immunodeficiency virus, or any other infectious agents are absent. Thus, all blood products, including purified proteins derived from human blood sources, should be handled at Biosafety Level 2 as recommended by the CDC\NIH manual entitled Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories for potentially infectious human serum, blood specimens or proteins derived from same. Source material for the human blood product supplied to your facility has been tested for the detection of HIV antibody, Hepatitis B surface antigen, antibody to Hepatitis C, HIV 1 antigen(s), antibody to HTLV - I/II, and syphilis by FDA guidelines. All units were found to be non-reactive/negative for these tests. All human blood source material is collected in FDA licensed centers and is tested with FDA approved test kits.

FAQs for Collagen IV Native Protein
-
Q:
Here a customer intends to buy our Collagen IV Protein. He wonders whether it can be used for cell culture, if it can, what concentration is best. Can you so kind to help him and me?
A: Our Collagen IV protein with catalogue number NBP1-97268 has been validated for Western blotting and for ELISA. We have no testing data regarding its use in cell culture, however since it contains sodium azide as a preservative it is unlikely to be suitable for this use.
-
Q: Which was the best human Collagen IV recombinant protein for my custom sandwich Elisa?
A: NBP1-97268 is currently our only human Collagen IV protein. It is the native protein and is not recombinant. Without knowing which antibodies are being used in your ELISA, I can not be 100% certain that this is the best protein for you but it is the only one that we carry of human origin.
