|Detection of Bovine Phospho-MBP (T98) by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of bovine brain tissue treated with the indicated concentration of Recombinant Human p38 alpha (Active) (Catalog # 1806-P3) for 30 minutes. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat/Bovine Phospho-MBP (T98) Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB4228) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band for Phospho-MBP (T98) was detected at approximately 21 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.|

MBP has a role in both the formation and stabilization of this compact multilayer arrangement of bilayers. In vitro, MBP is suitable as a substrate for numerous protein kinases, including the ERK and p38 MAP kinases that phosphorylate MBP at T98.
