WB: Approx. 150 kDa band observed in mouse brain lysates is reported in scientific literature (PMID: 18063668). An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 25 kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

The longest isoform encoded by this gene is a transmembrane protein that is both N- and O-glycosylated. Defects in this gene may cause susceptibility to dyslexia type 2 (DYX2). Multiple transcript variants encoding several different isoforms have been found for this gene.
