CD24, also known as Heat Stable Antigen (HSA), is a heavily and variably glycosylated 35-60 kDa GPI-linked sialoprotein. CD24 is expressed on B cells, T cells, keratinocytes, and myofiber synaptic nuclei and is upregulated in a wide variety of cancers. It is also a marker for exosomes released into the urine and amniotic fluid. CD24 binds to P-Selectin on activated platelets and vascular endothelial cells. CD24 ligation induces tumor cell apoptosis and is important for the deletion of autoreactive T cells. Mature mouse CD24 shares 30% aa sequence identity with human CD24.

Detection of CD24 in Mouse Splenocytes by Flow Cytometry.
Mouse splenocytes were stained with Rat Anti-Mouse B220/CD45R APC-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # FAB1217A) and either (A) Rat Anti-Mouse CD24 PE-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # FAB8547P) or (B) Rat IgG2APhycoerythrin Isotype Control (Catalog # IC006P). 4SC-202 reduces ALDHhigh and CD44high/CD24low cell populations. (a) 4T1 cells were treated with 4SC-202 at the indicated concentrations in the 3D scaffolds and analyzed by flow cytometry for a CD44high/CD24low cancer stem cell (CSC) profile. (b) Contour plot representing gating strategy, and (c) quantification of CD44high/CD24low CSC population normalized to beads. Significance is tested using ANOVA followed by a Dunnett’s test for n = 3 scaffold experiments (p < 0.001 ***). (d) Histogram plot revealing loss of CD24 expression with increased treatment. Image collected and cropped by CiteAb from the following open publication (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35406526), licensed under a CC-BY license. Not internally tested by R&D Systems.Applications for Mouse CD24 PE‑conjugated Antibody
