Integrin beta 7 associates with the integrin alpha 4 or alpha E subunits to form heterodimers to interact with fibronectin, VCAM, MAdCAM or E-Cadherin. It is highly expressed in leukocytes and is involved in localization of leukocytes at mucosal sites.

The adhesion of TK-1 mouse T cell lymphoma cells (5 x 104 cells/well, treated with 1 mM MnCl2) to immobilized Recombinant Mouse MAdCAM-1 Fc Chimera (Catalog # 993-MC, 1 µg/well, 100 µL/well) was maximally enhanced (2‑2.5 fold) by 10 µg/mL of the antibody.
