Integrin beta 7 associates with the integrin alpha 4 or alpha E subunits to form heterodimers to interact with fibronectin, VCAM, MAdCAM or E-Cadherin. It is highly expressed in leukocytes and is involved in localization of leukocytes at mucosal sites.
