Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: MRPL44 Antibody [NBP2-96998] - Immunofluorescence staining of MRPL44 in HUVEC cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with NBP2-96998 antibody (dilution ratio 1:300) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor$488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG Secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to cytoplasm.

Background: MRPL44

MRPL44, or Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein L44, consists of a 332 amino acid isoform that is 38 kDa, and is involved in protein synthesis as a part of the 39S mitochondrial ribosome subunit. Disease research is currently being conducted to determine the relationship between MRPL44 and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. The protein has been linked to RNA processing, and interacts with IMMT, SETDB1, VIM, USP22, and CEP70.
