Background: Niemann-Pick Type C2/NPC2

Niemann-Pick type C2 encodes a protein containing a lipid recognition domain. The encoded protein may function in regulating the transport of cholesterol through the late endosomal/lysosomal system. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Niemann-Pick disease, type C2 and frontal lobe atrophy. [provided by RefSeq]

    IF for LAMP1 and NPC2
    for LAMP1 staining, mouse anti LAMP1 antibody was used followed by AF488 anti mouse secondary. For NPC2 stating, rabbit anti NPC2 was used with 1:100 dilution followed by AF568 anti rabbit secondary. shown is a merged image of LAMP1 (GREEN) and NPC2 (RED)
