Product Specifications
Immunogen
This protein A purified Nrf1 Antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a purified recombinant mouse Nrf1 protein corresponding to aa 1- 534 of the native protein. (Uniprot: Q9WU00)
Reactivity Notes
BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with this protein from mouse, human, chimpanzee, dog, rat, chicken, frog and zebrafish based on very high sequence homology with the immunogen sequence. Cross reactivity with Nrf1 homologues from other sources has not been determined.
Specificity
This protein A purified antibody is directed against mouse Nrf1.
Clonality
Polyclonal
Host
Rabbit
Isotype
IgG
Description

Immunohistochemistry: Nrf1 Antibody [NBP1-77822] - Used at a 5 ug/ml to detect NRF1 in a variety of tissues. This image shows NRF1 staining of human testis. The antibody shows nuclear staining in lymphocytes. Tissue was formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded.Western Blot: Nrf1 Antibody [NBP1-77822]
Western Blot: Nrf1 Antibody [NBP1-77822] - Shows detection of a 67-kDa band corresponding to human NRF1 in a (lane 1) HeLa nuclear extract and (lane 2) whole cell lysate (molecular weight marker not shown). Approx. 10 ug of each lysate was separated by SDS-PAGE and transferred onto nitrocellulose. The blot was incubated with a 1:500 dilution of the antibody at room temperature for 1 h followed by detection using IRDye (TM) 700 labeled Goat-a-Rabbit IgG [H&L] diluted 1:2,500. IRDye (TM) 700Nrf1 Antibody
Affinity Purified anti-NRF1antibody was used at a 5 ug/ml to detect NRF1 in a variety of tissues. This image shows NRF1 staining of human testis. The antibody shows nuclear staining in lymphocytes. Tissue was formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded. Personal Communication, Tina Roush, LifeSpanBiosciences, Seattle, WA.Western Blot: Nrf1 Antibody - BSA Free [NBP1-77822] -
Immunoblotting analysis of mitochondrial biogenesis. (A) Representative immunoblots for mitochondrial biogenesis proteins in hAbKI mice and treated hAbKI mice with Urolithin A and EGCG. (B) Quantitative-densitometry analysis of mitochondrial biogenesis proteins PGC1 alpha, NRF1, NRF2 and TFAM. PGC1 alpha, NRF1, NRF2 and TFAM were significantly increased in the treated hAbKI mice Urolithin A and EGCG. Application Notes
This protein A purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, immunohistochemistry and by western blot. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 67 kDa in size corresponding to NRF1 by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. Splice variants exist for this protein that may result in the detection of lower molecular weight bands.
