Immunohistochemistry: Plasma Kallikrein/KLKB1 Antibody (9F6) [NBP3-15209] - IHC image of Plasma Kallikrein/KLKB1 antibody diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human liver tissue. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30 minutes at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-rabbit IgG polymer labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.

Background: Plasma Kallikrein/KLKB1

Plasma Kallikrein 1B is a serine proteinase of the S1 family It is secreted by the liver, kidney, adrenal gland and placenta. The zymogen is referred to as prekallikrein (PK) and is activated by Factor XIIa to an active two chain form, plasma kallikrein. In Fletcher syndrome plasma kallikrein is deficient, resulting in a prolonged partial thromboplastin time (PT).
