Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RAI1 antibody used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 10 ug/mg lysate. RAI1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RAI1 antibody BL6549, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 30 seconds (B).

Background: RAI1

Defects in Retinoic acid-induced protein 1 (RAI1) are a cause of Smith-Magenis syndrome (SMS) [MIM:182290]. SMS is characterized by congenital mental retardation associated with development and growth delays. The RAI1 has also been associated with schizophrenia.
