ChIP-Exo-Seq composite graph for Anti-GTF2I (NBP1-90010) tested in K562 cells. Strand-specific reads (blue: forward, red: reverse) and IgG controls (black: forward, grey: reverse) are plotted against the distance from a composite set of reference binding sites. The antibody exhibits robust target enrichment compared to a non-specific IgG control and precisely reveals its structural organization around the binding site. Data generated by Prof. B. F. Pugh´s Lab at Cornell University.

Background: TFII-I

TFII-I encodes a multifunctional phosphoprotein with roles in transcription and signal transduction. It is deleted in Williams-Beuren syndrome, a multisystem developmental disorder caused by the deletion of contiguous genes at chromosome 7q11.23. The exon(s) encoding 5' UTR has not been fully defined, but this gene is known to contain at least 34 exons, and its alternative splicing generates 4 transcript variants.
