Product Specifications

Immunogen

Human Tiam1 (catalytic domain/ C-terminal domain) is an affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antiserum derived by injection of rabbits with a GST fusion protein with the C-terminal amino acids 904-1511 of Tiam 1.

Specificity

Human Tiam1 (catalytic domain/ C-terminal domain) recognizes the C-terminal amino acids 904-1511 of Tiam 1 containing the DH-PH regions.

Clonality

Polyclonal

Host

Rabbit

Isotype

IgG

Description

The antibody is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at 4C. For prolonged storage prepare appropriate aliquots and store at or below -20C. Prior to use, an aliquot is thawed slowly in the dark at ambient temperature, spun down again and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at 4C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance or the concentration of the product.

Stability & Storage

Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Background: TIAM1

TIAM1 modulates the activity of RHO like proteins and connects extracellular signals to cytoskeletal activities. It acts as a GDP dissociation stimulator protein that stimulates the GDP-GTP exchange activity of RHO like GTPases and activates them. It activates RAC1, CDC42, and to a lesser extent RHOA.
