FAQs for Tight Junction Protein 1 Antibody - BSA Free
-
Q: Can this antibody be used for rat sample by WB and ICC/IF. It does not mention in the product datasheet.
A: Our Tight Junction Protein 1 antibody with catalogue number NBP2-21051 has been validated for Western blotting and ICC/IF with samples from human, and the antibody is predicted to react with the mouse protein - mouse is covered by our 100% quality guarantee. This antibody has not yet been tested with samples from rat.
-
Q: The Molecular Weight of it should be 187KD,why it seems nearly 250KDa in our image. Can you so kind to help him and me?
A: Our Tight Junction Protein 1 antibody with catalogue number NBP2-21051 was raised to a recombinant protein fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 556 and 939 of ZO-1 (Uniprot ID #Q07157). According to the Uniprot listing, this protein has a theoretical molecular weight of 195kDa, but undergoes multiple post-translational modifications which would increase the weight further. Since this protein is very large, it will not run exactly at the listed molecular weight, however we are confident that NBP2-21051 is detecting a band which corresponds to Tight Junction Protein 1.
