FAQs for TRPV4 Antibody
-
Q: We have a customer who is looking for an antibody that is suitable to detect TRPV4/Vanilloid receptor-like protein 2 in sheep FFPE tissues. Could you allign the immunizing peptid of NB110-74960 and NB100-98910 against the sheep sequence (if you have it - I could not find the sheep TRPV4 sequence in UniProt and also, the customer did not supply the sequence) and inform us on the homology between the peptids used to generate NB110-74960/NB100-98910 and the sheep sequence?
A: Sheep and Human TRPV4 are over 90% similar, so most antibodies to the human sequence will be predicted to cross-react. NB110-74960 is probably the best choice for this.
