Zearalenone
Chemical Name: (3S,11E)-3,4,5,6,9,10-Hexahydro-14,16-dihydroxy-3-methyl-1H-2-benzoxacyclotetradecin-1,7(8H)-dione
Biological Activity
Zearalenone is a mycotoxin produced by several species of Fusarium fungi. Binds to the estrogen receptor (ER) (IC50 values are 166 and 240 nM for ERβ and ERα respectively) and stimulates the transcriptional activity of both subtypes at concentrations between 1 - 10 nM. Also stimulates growth of T47D breast cancer cells.Technical Data
