ELISA: NBP1-05116 as coating antibody and biotinylated NBP1-05043 as a detection antibody is a good combination for sandwich ELISA. WB: NBP1-05043 only detects unreduced PAPP-A in Western blotting. IHC: NBP1-05043 gives the strongest signal in IHC compared to NBP2-21614 and NBP1-05116.

Background: Pappalysin-1/PAPP-A

Pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A, Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-4 protease, PAPP-A-proMBP complex) is a large heterotetrameric glycoprotein of approximately 500 kDa, which was first discovered in serum from pregnant women. The hetreotetramer consists of two PAPP-A subunits and two proMBP subunits. Low maternal serum levels of PAPP-A in first trimester biochemical screening is used as a marker of Down's syndrome (trisomy 21).

I have got the information regarding the immunogen used to generate these antibodies, however could not get any information regarding the specific amino acids/epitope to which your Anti-PAPP-A Antibodies binds with the antigen (PAPP-A).

    A: Unfortunately, none of our PAPP A antibodies have been epitope mapped. Many of them have also been generated against full-length PAPP A, so there are many potential binding sites.
