Product Specifications

Immunogen

CORO1B (C-terminus) synthetic peptide (coupled to carrier protein) corresponds to amino acids at the C-terminus of human CORO1B. This sequence has high homology to the conserved site in rat and mouse CORO1B, and less than 50% homology to similar regions in other coronins. [UniProt# Q9BR76]

Specificity

The antibody detects a 60 kDa band corresponding to CORO1B on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of human A431 and HeLa, mouse brain, and rabbit spleen fibroblasts.

Clonality

Polyclonal

Host

Rabbit

Isotype

IgG

Theoretical MW

60 kDa.
Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.

Description

Stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.

CORO1B Antibody

Western Blot: CORO1B Antibody [NBP3-23241] -

Western Blot: CORO1B Antibody [NBP3-23241] - Western blot analysis of human A431 cells treated with Calyculin A (100 nM) for 30 min (lanes 1 & 3) before treatment with lambda phosphatase (lanes 2 & 4). The blots were probed with anti-CORO1B (C-terminal region) (lanes 1 & 2) and anti-CORO1B (Ser-2) (lanes 3 & 4).
CORO1B Antibody

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: CORO1B Antibody [NBP3-23241] -

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: CORO1B Antibody [NBP3-23241] - Immunocytochemical labeling of CORO1B in rabbit spleen fibroblasts treated with Calyculin A. The cells were labeled with rabbit polyclonal CORO1B (C-terminus) and CORO1B (Ser-2) antibodies, then detected using appropriate secondary antibodies conjugated to Cy3. The antibodies were used in the absence (left) or presence (right) of their respective blocking peptide.

Background: CORO1B

Coronin 2 is an F-actin binding protein that plays an important role in processes involving actin dynamics such as fibroblast migration, and phagocytosis. Coronin 2 influences actin dynamics by promoting actin depolymerization. It has been shown to interact with the Arp2/3 complex and inhibit Arp2/3-induced actin nucleation. Additionally, it can regulate motility by regulating the actin severing and disassembling activity of cofilin.
