Catalog Number: 4524
Alternate Names: Epigallocatechin gallate
Chemical Name: 3,4,5-Trihydroxybenzoic acid (2R,3R)-3,4-dihydro-5,7-dihydroxy-2-(3,4,5-trihydroxyphenyl)-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl ester
Biological Activity
Inhibitor of amyloid assembly; inhibits the formation of amyloid fibrils by proteins such as Aβ, α-synuclein and huntingtin. Reduces Aβ42-induced cell death in three different cell types. Also inhibits β-secretase (IC50 = 1.6 μM) and glutamate dehydrogenase GDH. Inhibits cell growth and selectively induces apoptosis in A431 and human pancreatic cancer cells. Also a DNMT1 inhibitor.

Molarity Calculator
Calculate the mass, volume or concentration required for a solution

The molarity calculator is based on the following equation:

Mass (g) = Concentration (mol/L) x Volume (L) x Molecular Weight (g/mol)
An example of a molarity calculation using the molarity calculator:
What is the mass of compound required to make a 10 mM stock solution in 10 ml of water given that the molecular weight of the compound is 197.13 g/mol?
