Detection of Human/Mouse Hck by Western Blot.

Western blot shows lysates of A20 mouse B cell lymphoma cell line, DA3 mouse myeloma cell line, Raji human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line, and Ramos human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Rat Anti-Human/Mouse Hck Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3915) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for Hck at approximately 59 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Lyophilized product is shipped at ambient temperature. Liquid small pack size (-SP) is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store immediately at the temperature recommended below.

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Background: Hck

Hemopoietic cell kinase (Hck) is a member of the Src family of tyrosine kinases. Hck expression is prominent in cells of myeloid lineage, particularly in granulocytes and monocytes, with protein levels increasing during terminal differentiation and macrophage activation. Hck contains a unique amino-terminal domain that is subject to lipid modifications, targeting this kinase to the plasma membrane.
